The Korea Semiconductor Industry Association announced on the 20th that it had signed a business agreement between domestic electronics and IT companies and semiconductor companies to activate the 'System Semiconductor Convergence Alliance'.
On this day, the association held 'Electronic IT System-Semiconductor Business Agreement Signing and Discussion' with Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology and Korea Electronics Information and Communication Industry Promotion Association at Chosun Palace Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul.
Electronics and IT companies such as Winia Electronics, Youngwon Corporation, Rozetatech, and Tuestek attended this event as demand companies. In addition, system semiconductor and sensor companies such as Above Semiconductor, Iron Device, Shinsung Sound Motion, and Genitics participated to discuss solidarity and cooperation between companies.
System Semiconductor Convergence Alliance is a cooperation platform to create synergies in semiconductor development between companies in the six major domestic industries and chip suppliers. It was created after the announcement of the government's system semiconductor development strategy in 2019. The Korea Semiconductor Industry Association and the research association are making various efforts to vitalize the alliance, such as operating an online platform called COMPASS.
